EXPLORING MIDJOURNEY AI
It works a little something like this: Think of your dream room – any colour, style and size. Can you type it into a text box? Can you describe every little detail? Hit enter and watch the room come to life. Welcome to the weird world of Artificial Intelligence, changing just about every aspect of our lives whether we know it or not. We use Midjourney, a text-to-image technology, to help some clients visualize the endless options of a certain element in a space. It differs from ChatGPT, which is a text-to-text technology. So far its been great for project inspo but still lacks the functionality to really nail down a space. SketchUp, another tool we use, has a 2D to 3D capability and I imagine this stuff is only going to keep getting better. Stay tuned!

PROCESS PROCESS PROCESS
We’ve been churning out new process docs to help our clients and our team. As we see the team grow, something that is so important is keeping that client experience tight and consistent. The best way to do this is easy to use well-communicated processes every step of the way. And when you’re a process nerd like me, it’s actually kinda fun.

ALL THE CREATIVE THINGS
This Winter / Spring have been BIG in terms of getting veryyy close to the finish line on some major projects. Our #OffBroadway project in Rothesay, NB which was a major main level renovation is wrapping up, two big whole home renovations in Halifax and another biggie in Chester. We also finished off an incredible commercial space, R Studios HQ, that everyone is feeling super proud of. The best part of what we do is being able to lean into our clients personal design aesthetic while injecting some SJ personality.

& LAST BUT NOT LEAST: OUR OFFICE
Oh man guys, this one has been a slow burn. Like…really slow. You know how it is in construction, once things get going they’re really going but there can be a lot of waiting and coordination involved. We were hoping to be in by March 1 but now it’s looking like it’ll be May. At the end of the day good things take time and luckily I have lots of practice when it comes to patience (insert daily life with three young kids). So we’ll get there! And in the meantime we’re lucky Nat bought a few extra poufs for the sunroom.
